Organisé dans le cadre du programme ERC TranslAtWar, dirigé par Christine Lombez (Nantes Université), ce colloque se tiendra à Paris, les 13 et 14 novembre 2025.

Il portera sur les anthologies de littérature en traduction réalisées en Europe durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, en interrogeant leurs enjeux esthétiques, idéologiques et mémoriels.

L’événement réunira des chercheuses et chercheurs européens spécialistes de littérature comparée, de traduction littéraire et d’histoire culturelle pour une réflexion collective sur les pratiques anthologiques en contexte de conflit.

International Conference – ERC TranslAtWar : Literary Translation, Canons and Ideologies : Anthologies and Anthological Forms in Europe during the Second World War (1939–1945)

Organised as part of the ERC TranslAtWar project, directed by Christine Lombez (Nantes Université), this conference will take place in Paris, on 13–14 November 2025.

It will focus on anthologies of translated literature produced in Europe during the Second World War, exploring their aesthetic, ideological and memorial dimensions.

The event will bring together European scholars specialising in comparative literature, literary translation and cultural history for a collective discussion on anthological practices in times of conflict.
